If you have white gutters use a white caulk. Self adhesive flexible gutter repair patches are a good short term fix choice for holes less than 1 in 2 5 cm in diameter regardless of the material your gutters are made of. This clear silicon sealant cures quickly and remains flexible enough to move with the expansion and contraction of the gutter. Silicone caulk is an excellent product as it sticks well to dry surfaces and cures to a water tight bond.
