A casement window is a window with a hinged sash that swings in or out like a door comprising either a side hung top hung also called awning window. The easy turn fold down handle is positioned at the bottom of the sash and the lock levers are located in the bottom right and left corners. In this configuration a single hinged sash lite makes up the window. Turning the crank and operating the lock a lever is easier than pushing a sash up and down.
